Introduction
A paragraph is a group of sentences about one main idea. Good writing starts with strong paragraphs. Many students struggle because their ideas are unclear or their grammar is weak. This lesson teaches the basic structure of a paragraph and common grammar rules needed for clear writing.
- Structure of a Good Paragraph
A good paragraph has three main parts:
- a) Topic Sentence
The topic sentence introduces the main idea of the paragraph.

Regular exercise is important for students. - b) Supporting Sentences
These sentences explain or give examples.
Example:
Exercise helps students stay healthy and reduces stress. It also improves concentration in class. - c) Concluding Sentence
This sentence summarizes the main idea.
Example:
